Description

This is a small chapbook of poetry that are based on the meanderings of a mind searching for the meaning of her the thoughts as they randomly appear in a mind. They are small and intimate. The poems are eclectic dealing with ancient art, a parent, love, literature, children, and a veteran portrait in a museum gallery. How one reflects on thoughts that rise up uncalled for, can trap or free a person. Like Odysseus one must listen to the sirens and maneuver through the storms to reach a safe port. Personal in nature the author believes they are universal and will reach many people. The journey is just beginning. Excerpts of the poems: Like Odysseus, I tether my soul To hear the truth and move beyond To understanding. Understanding that riding the storm Means living and reaching an ending whole. Let your music Dwell in me and pour out to my beloved Songs of such Joy and Peace Like waves that search for the life-giving Ocean So that all will hear our memory of Love.
